Radius Group enters lease agreement with DHL Global Forwarding in South Gate Industrial Park
Moscow, Russia, 15 of October, 2014. – Radius Group, a responsible warehouse and manufacturing real estate development and investment solutions company, announced today that it has signed a 5 years long contract with DHL Global Forwarding, world's leading logistics company. According to the agreement Radius Group will build a distribution center for DHL of 6,000 M2 area in the modern South Gate Industrial Park.
The new national distribution center of DHL Global Forwarding will be put into service at South Gate Industrial Park by December 2014, it will support company's operations in Russia.
Working on the DHL's distribution center, Radius Group used advanced and unique engineering solutions, which have no parallels in Russia. The construct and design choices are implemented based on the operational demands and a system-level approach to lower energy consumption and have low environmental impact. The building is BREEAM certified.
One of the DHL Global Forwarding warehouse main features is its illumination - advanced high quality lighting solutions with extensive use of natural ambient light. It will cut lighting expenses down to 50% and will boost the working conditions greatly, thus increasing the productivity of workers.
